yes, I got a playlist. Emily had one and I couldn't stand being left out. Just kidding, I just didn't want to do my homework. They're kind of an odd collection of songs but they all have special meaning to me, except the Man that Can't be Moved song. I don't really have experience with lost love or anything, so I really can't relate, but the idea that there is love like that out there is really sweet.
The Les Mis song is there really just because it's awesome. I was very pleased that they had the version with Micheal Ball and Lea Solonga on it because thats the version I grew up listening to. My mom bought the 15th or 10th, I'm not sure, anniversary edition from PBS and we'd watch it all the time. I just have to say, Micheal Ball is the man. Sorry Nick Jonas, you're cuter, but he sings better.
The Dino song also reminds me of my mommy. She would make us listen to those songs all the time and we hated it! But after years of listening to it, you either have to keep fighting it, or just go with it. Apparently I chose the latter, I love Dean Martin, and other kinds of oldies now.
I guess I lied. The "Be Okay" song really has no meaning to me either besides the fact that its really cute and fun.
O, El Paso. O the memories! This was song of choice for all our car trips. In order to sing this song one must sing with complete and utter gusto. No mamby pambying around here. I don't think I like the story so much for it's twangy music about a lovesick cowboy. Mostly I just love this song because it reminds me of my family, and the times when life wasn't so complicated. Life's kind of funny sometimes.
Anyways, these are just a few of my favorites. They don't really mesh, but I like them :)
